This photograph of Sarah & Dan Jeremiah will soon be gracing the front page of my website. I just love it.
I first met Sarah & Dan on a crisp October day. They were undecided whether to get married in Sarah’s beautiful old school or at home in Sarah’s mums garden. It was always Sarah’s dream to get married at home, but they were all a little daunted at the prospect of organising it. We went to have a look at the school first and whilst it was a stunning building with beautiful grounds, the areas for the wedding were a little disjointed. I had visions of all the wedding party being in different places, a little planning tip is to always try and contain your guests in one area in the evening to ensure the party feel continues throughout the night!
We then went back to Sarah’s house and the lawn just cried out for a fantastic marquee with the lovely house in the background. We discussed ideas, then I went away and sent them a proposal. Lucky for me, they were excited about all the plans and booked me! I couldn’t wait to get started.
And so the planning began. They were the most gorgeous couple to work with and most of all (and I don’t normally do gushy!) they just adored each other which is so lovely to see.
The planning schedule went exactly to plan. On the morning of the wedding unfortunately the heavens opened, it was quite torrential, but Sarah was happily in the house drinking champagne and getting ready with her Bridesmaids, whist I was in the marquee setting the tables, arranging the flowers and organising the caterers.
They left for the church in a gorgeous white VW Beetle. The Bridesmaids first in stunning Platinum dresses and bright sunflower bouquets. I caught a glimpse of Sarah smiling in the backseat, we waved as she disappeared to marry Dan.
Just as they were leaving church, the clouds cleared and the guests walked through the woods which had been lined with a path of bunting with signs ‘nearly there by the camping area and into the garden where we greeted them with glasses of Prosecco.
The guests all enjoyed the coconut shy, especially this gorgeous little boy top left.
Sarah had hired some Vintage Style Hire, the drinks infuser jars which served Pimms, Elderflower and a delicious homemade Lemonade with labels from Daiseyley. A typewriter which was on a telephone table which I customised with fabric from their bunting. Guest sat on the seat and typed a note on their wedding paper and popped it in the drawer. The old deck chairs added a splash of colour.
The guests dined on a Tamworth Hog Roast and delicious sweet canapes followed served on three tier vintage cake stands. They also had the most amazing ‘cheese’ cake which was served later in the evening.
Guests helped themselves to locally brewed beer from tankards and other drinks were served in various metal troughs filled with ice.
Their amazing Band The Austin Beats were a great bunch of guys and started the stunning first dance, then the party started!
Their wedding was captured beautifully by Nathan Bamford, take a look here http://bit.ly/vITfru
As with every wedding, it is sad to say goodbye but so thrilled I was part of their magical day.
“We just wanted to say a very big thank you for everything you did in the run up and on the day of our wedding. It was reassuring to know you were there and to run everything so wonderfully smoothly on the day. We had such a totally awesome and amazing day. Lots of love, Mr & Mrs Jeremiah”
